Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 August 2026 · Applies to DigiCourt (web & mobile) operated by Techglobal India
This Privacy Policy explains how Techglobal India (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use DigiCourt — a case and hearing management product for advocates and law firms, including beta access.
1. Who this applies to
DigiCourt is built for advocates and law firms (not court administration or the general public as end litigants). If you create an account, join the beta, or contact us about DigiCourt, this policy applies to you.
2. Information we collect
- Account & contact data — name, email, phone, practice or firm name, and court locations you provide when requesting beta access or registering.
- Practice data you enter — case and matter details, hearing dates, adjournments, client intake information, documents you upload or scan (including OCR text), and drafts you create or generate with AI assistance.
- Usage & device data — app/web version, device type, approximate region, crash logs, and product analytics needed to improve DigiCourt.
- Communications — messages you send us by email or support channels.
3. How we use information
- Provide and sync DigiCourt across phone and web (hearings, cases, documents, drafts).
- Send hearing reminders and product notices you opt into.
- Power AI-assisted drafting using facts you store in DigiCourt — AI helps with language; you remain responsible for reviewing filings.
- Improve OCR, bilingual (Tamil/English) features, security, and reliability.
- Respond to beta and support requests, and meet legal obligations.
4. Legal documents & sensitive data
Court documents and case materials may include sensitive personal data. You decide what to upload. We process that data only to provide DigiCourt to you and your authorised firm users. Do not upload information you are not permitted to store digitally under applicable professional or court rules.
5. Sharing
We do not sell your personal or case data. We may share information with:
- Infrastructure and service providers who process data on our instructions (hosting, email, analytics, AI model providers used for drafting features).
- Authorities when required by law.
- Your firm colleagues if your DigiCourt workspace is configured for multi-user access.
6. Retention
We retain account and practice data while your DigiCourt account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for backups, dispute resolution, and legal compliance, unless you request deletion sooner where we can comply.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organisational measures appropriate to a legal-practice productivity tool. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure; please use strong credentials and limit access within your chambers.
8. Your choices
- Access, correct, or export data available in your DigiCourt account.
- Request deletion of your account or beta waitlist entry by contacting us.
- Opt out of non-essential product emails where offered.
9. Children
DigiCourt is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18 for product accounts.
10. Changes
We may update this policy as DigiCourt evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above and, where appropriate, notifying active users.
