Terms of Service
Last updated: 27 August 2026 · DigiCourt by Techglobal India
These Terms govern your access to and use of DigiCourt (website, web dashboard, and mobile apps), including beta access. By using DigiCourt or requesting beta access, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. The service
DigiCourt is a productivity tool for advocates and law firms to track hearings, manage cases, capture documents (including OCR), and draft materials with optional AI assistance, including bilingual Tamil and English workflows. DigiCourt is not a court administration system, not a substitute for official court records, and not legal advice.
2. Eligibility & accounts
- You must be at least 18 and authorised to practice or work with an advocate/law firm using DigiCourt for legitimate professional purposes.
- You are responsible for account credentials and for activity under your account.
- Beta access may be limited, invite-only, and changed or withdrawn at our discretion.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use DigiCourt unlawfully or in violation of professional conduct rules applicable to you.
- Upload content you do not have the right to store or process.
- Attempt to break, scrape, overload, or reverse engineer the service except as allowed by law.
- Misrepresent DigiCourt outputs as official court documents or as advice from Techglobal India.
4. Your content
You retain rights in the case data, documents, and drafts you submit. You grant Techglobal India a limited licence to host, process, transmit, and display that content solely to operate DigiCourt for you (including sync, OCR, notifications, and AI drafting features you use).
5. AI-assisted drafting
AI features generate language based on information you provide in DigiCourt. Outputs may be incomplete or inaccurate. You must review, edit, and take professional responsibility for any document before filing or sending. DigiCourt does not create an advocate–client relationship with Techglobal India.
6. Beta software
During beta, DigiCourt may contain bugs, incomplete features, or downtime. Features may change without notice. We provide beta “as is” to the fullest extent permitted by law.
7. Intellectual property
DigiCourt branding, software, and design are owned by Techglobal India or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership of DigiCourt to you.
8. Disclaimers
Except where prohibited by law, DigiCourt is provided without warranties of uninterrupted availability, fitness for a particular filing, or error-free OCR/AI output. Official cause lists and court systems remain authoritative.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Techglobal India is not liable for lost profits, missed hearings, filing errors, or indirect damages arising from use of DigiCourt. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to DigiCourt is limited to the fees you paid us for DigiCourt in the three months before the claim (or INR 0 during free beta).
10. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, legal risk, or end of beta. You may stop using DigiCourt at any time. Provisions that should survive (IP, disclaimers, liability limits) will survive termination.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Tamil Nadu shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer or other protections that cannot be waived.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms as DigiCourt develops. Continued use after the updated date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
